Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal counsel on Wills, Estates, and Elder Law matters, including estate planning, estate administration, and guardianship applications.
- Advise on Corporate and Commercial transactions, including business structuring, mergers, acquisitions, and contract negotiation.
- Oversee Real Estate matters, including residential and commercial purchases, sales, leasing, and financing.
- Draft and review legal agreements, contracts, and corporate governance documents.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients while growing your practice.
- Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to the firm's business development initiatives.
- A Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree.
- Active membership with the BC Law Society.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Wills & Estates, Corporate & Commercial, Family Law or Real Estate Law.
- A portable book of business is required.
- Strong legal drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Business development acumen and a client-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple files efficiently.
- Comfort with remote work and digital collaboration tools.
