As a Strategy Lead, you will define focused tactical and strategic agendas that enhance the business and work closely with internal stakeholders on key strategic initiatives. You will make recommendations related to emerging trends, market and competitive dynamics, growth opportunities, and business performance measurement in developing corporate strategy and management. Your drive for results will help you handle complex and ambiguous topics, gaining insight into the strategic issues at the forefront of the financial services industry.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Conducting research, connecting the dots, and distilling strategic insights to inform strategy development.

  • Developing strategic recommendations, and supporting strategic and operational initiatives.

  • Assisting in developing short-term and long-term strategy objectives.

  • Establishing and maintaining strategic planning and strategy management processes.

  • Collaborating and leading in solving issues related to the organization’s strategic direction.

  • Developing opportunity sizing, business cases, financial models, and operational plans for strategic initiatives and new business opportunities.

  • Distilling complex ideas into easy-to-understand messaging and developing collateral for socialization with stakeholders.

  • Maintaining executive-level communications to secure leadership buy-in.

  • Interacting with internal and external stakeholders in the development of initiatives and execution plans.

  • Developing and defining innovation strategy to inform research, identification, and incubation of new opportunities.

  • Evaluating new capabilities based on emerging trends to activate high potential and impact opportunities.

  • Applying strategic foresight methodology and facilitating workshops as needed.

  • Connecting strategic foresight signals with strategy development and planning processes to ensure relevant strategy.

You bring:

  • A Bachelor’s degree and MBA (preferred).

  • 8+ years of experience in strategy or consulting roles.

  • Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada.

  • Experience in strategy development, strategic planning, and execution.

  • Proven experience building and managing relationships with stakeholders.

  • Ability to thrive in a multi-team and fast-paced environment.

  • Experience delivering multi-dimensional projects and influencing business outcomes.

  • Recognized skills in: Strategy Development, Strategic Planning, Financial Modelling, Stakeholder Management & Communication.

  • Cross-functional experience is an asset.

  • Ability to distill complex ideas into simple, digestible insights.

  • Strong interpersonal, facilitation skills, and emotional intelligence.

  • Advanced written and oral skills for clear communication of strategies.
