Position Overview:

Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for driving sales and delivering exceptional customer experiences?

Finning Canada is seeking a Director of Rental Sales to lead our retail and rental customer sales teams. In this senior leadership role, you'll be responsible for achieving sales objectives, mentoring your team, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Job Description:

  • Develop and execute go-to-market plans for retail and rental segments, including General and Heavy Rents.
  • Collaborate with leaders across various departments (Supply Chain, Service, Operations, Sales, Pricing, and Marketing) to ensure strategic alignment and effective execution.
  • Engage with external partners like Caterpillar to develop and implement successful plans.
  • Utilize data insights and customer feedback to drive proactive solutions and process improvements.
  • Drive sales results across all retail and rental channels, ensuring revenue and gross profit targets are met or exceeded.
  • Support branch operations in developing and executing local sales programs and initiatives.
  • Focus on strategic, national, and Indigenous business opportunities.
  • Lead initiatives to deliver a positive customer experience in equipment purchases, rentals, and aftermarket support.
  • Champion a healthy and safe work environment for all employees, contractors, and customers.
  • Provide clear leadership, performance management, coaching, and mentoring to the retail and rental team.
  • Participate in critical projects related to machine sales, product support, rentals, and customer experience.

Accountabilities:

  • Achieve revenue and sales targets for rentals, and customer value agreements.
  • Grow market share in line with Caterpillar and Finning targets.
  • Foster a world-class safety culture and ensure safety is a core value.
  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences for the retail and rental segments.
  • Improve employee engagement and lead a diverse, inclusive, and high-performance team.
  • Design and implement organizational structures to support long-term strategies and financial targets.
  • Represent Finning professionally and ethically in various associations and committees.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of industry experience with a proven ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • 7+ years of experience leading commercial teams.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop staff.
  • Superior communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Undergraduate degree in Business or Commerce; MBA or professional designation preferred.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, including budgeting, cost and risk analysis, and reporting.
  • In-depth knowledge of the industry, Cat products and services, and customer base.
