Why is this role important?

Reporting to the Program Lead and working under the guidance of the Client Service Associate, the Data Entry Clerk is primarily responsible for organizing and entering data into the Canadian Organ Replacement Register (CORR). S/he also helps ensure completeness and accuracy of the forms through verification and provides support to the team as needed.

What you'll do

  1. Organizes documents and enters data into the CORR database from a variety of sources. Organizes data submission forms in preparation for entering data into the CORR database. Inputs English and French data into CORR database.
  2. Provides data entry reports to supervisor on a weekly basis or as requested.
  3. Complies with Department- and Privacy-related data collection form handling process to ensure the confidentiality of data.
  4. Runs administrative reports from the CORR system to verify data quality.
  5. Assists the other members of the team as needed.

What you'll bring to the table

  • Preference will be given to candidates possessing an undergraduate degree (or working towards) in health studies, health informatics, epidemiology, statistics, or mathematics and/or other relevant field. Equivalent combination of education/experience may be considered.
  • 1 – 3 years data entry experience.
  • Experience with medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Access.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including being a team player.
  • Fluency in English is required, fluency in both official languages is considered an asset.
