Job Summary

We are seeking an Operations Coordinator to join our team and support the efficient collection of materials through our network of contracted Service Partners. This individual will be key in fostering strong relationships with our Service Providers and ensuring smooth communication and coordination across our operations. The ideal candidate will bring a keen analytical mind and a proactive approach to managing logistics, addressing issues that might arise, improving processes, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the performance and contractual activities of Service Providers, ensuring timely and compliant submissions.
  • Maintaining accurate data and records related to material collection and management.
  • Analyzing and optimizing logistics routes to enhance cost-efficiency and processing timelines.
  • Managing the development and implementation of new collection programs and pilot projects.
  • Collaborating with clients to develop and implement take-back/self-management programs for tires, Non refillable pressurized containers (NRPC), Hazardous Special Products (HSP), and Lighting.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations, tracking Service Provider performance and meeting program targets.
  • Contributing to internal improvements, including Service Provider invoicing processes and compliance reporting.

Key Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in logistics coordination and supply chain management.
  • Ability to analyze and improve operational efficiency.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance, particularly in relation to environmental and waste management regulations.
  • Proficiency in database management and reporting.
  • Understanding of Ontario’s Regulation 347 and HWIN requirements.
