The Opportunity:

Medcan is looking to hire a Hospitality Coordinator to join our Hospitality team. We are looking for a well-spoke individual with a passion for hospitality and exceptional client service skills. In this role, you will assist the General Manager in curating Medcan's service offerings. This includes initiatives within our food & beverage program, support design and construction projects, as well as the research & development of new products or services that enhance our client's experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience within the luxury hospitality sector, particularly with hotels, restaurants and/or luxury brands.

This is a permanent full-time position working primarily in the office/clinic. This position is stationed at Medcan’s Oakville location at 2275 Upper Middle Road East.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist the Director of Hospitality by completing assigned tasks and projects, collaborating with industry leaders and partners to enhance hospitality and service at Medcan.
  • Facilitate the rollout of multiple Hospitality initiatives across various Medcan locations, collaborating with key internal stakeholders to ensure successful implementation.
  • Serve as a hospitality resource for internal stakeholders, supporting service initiatives and hospitality programs.
  • Oversee assigned small to medium-sized hospitality projects from the bidding and vendor selection process through to completion.
  • Assist in assigned evening/weekend projects including after-hours delivery of goods & materials, internal moves, and evening installations.
  • When not working on assigned projects, the role will support clinic operations based in Oakville, which may include scheduled reception shifts from time to time.

The Requirements:

  • 2+ years of hospitality experience in a luxury Hotel, full-service restaurant, or high-end retail is an asset
  • Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to travel to Medcan locations throughout Ontario
  • Ability to multitask
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Office Applications; Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong organization and time management
