Material Handler

Position overview

Calian, Advanced Technologies is looking for an energetic team-player to join our fast-paced environment as a Material Handler! You will use your strong attention to detail and organizational skills to receive, inspect and ship goods, fill manufacture floor requirements, pick production orders and update our electronic tracking system (SAP) accordingly.

This is an entry-level position, no experience is required, and training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move products, and materials by hand
• Perform material handling activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing and unpacking
• Organize stock and monitor inventory levels
• Inspect incoming material for accuracy and defects
• Receive and pick productions kits in an organized, and efficient manner
• Maintain inventory accuracy, and movements through ERP system
  
  

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent
• Ability to follow documented procedures
• Proven experience as a material handler or similar position
• Knowledge of good packaging practices is considered an asset
• Ability to read and understand technical documents, drawings and specifications is an asset
• Organizational skills
• Detail oriented
• Experience in receiving an asset
• Experience with SAP and asset
• Strong Communication Skills
• Requirement to use some small equipment to move larger items
