Fugro’s Automatic Road Analyzer (ARAN) vehicles are equipped with advanced technologies for comprehensive road condition surveys. These specialized vehicles collect precise data on pavement quality, surface defects, and asset locations using sensors, cameras, and laser systems. With ARAN vehicles, we are able to provide actionable insights that support maintenance planning, resource optimization, and risk mitigation.
The Customer Support Specialist will be primarily focused on maintaining, repairing, and supporting ARAN (Automatic Road Analyzer) vehicles and products. This individual will be a key factor in the support and function of our roads surveying services and executions by supporting the sustainability and function of the ARAN vehicles and products.
Fugro will not provide relocation for this job opportunity.
Job Responsibilities

- Provide feedback to supervisor to improve product reliability and quality.
- Service and maintain a group of ARAN customers and their Roadware products.
- Provide technical support services to Fugro Roadware Products customers.
- Provide email and telephone support.
- Provide on-site support as needed (with little notice) and organize applicable travel arrangements.
- Coordinate spare parts sales and delivery. Actively promote parts sales, follow procedures in preparing quotations, accepting purchase orders, preparing necessary shipment papers, and record status of parts order in database.
- Coordinate the return and repair of defective equipment.
- Provide warranty support to applicable customers.
- Assemble electrical and mechanical subsystem components, assemblies, and cables.
- Install software and hardware components into computer systems.
- Install and integrate subsystem components, assemblies, computers, and cables onto vehicle or mobile platforms.
- Test completed vehicle systems using control sites and acceptance test procedures.
- Maintain appropriate documentation.
- Identify and communicate technical problems, processes, and solutions.
- Assist in the ongoing development of subsystem specifications.
- Perform assembly, integration, and testing on-site at a customer’s facility when required.
Job Requirements
- Authorized to work in Canada, without restrictions.
- Diploma or equivalent for an Electro-Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Technician.
- Minimum of 2 years of Customer Service experience.
- Working knowledge of measurement systems and video image capture systems.
- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems (including, but not limited to Windows XP and 98).
- Basic experience of communication and network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, etc.).
- Microsoft SQL Server database administration and reporting services experience.
- Experience with Data Analysis Tools.
- Experience integrating third-party hardware/software systems using either vendor supplied SDKs/APIs or custom-built interface components using C# or VB.NET.
- Strong working knowledge of computers.
- Vehicle conversion experience.
- Mechanical aptitude. Comfortable with work, tools and materials involved in the assembly and integration of electromechanical subsystems onto mobile platforms.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license, with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
- This role requires up to 40% traveling for job functions.
