Fortinet is offering an exciting opportunity to join our Fortiguard Advanced Research Team in our Vancouver office! You will meet the real world with security threats of malware, vulnerabilities and supply chain attacks while working together with the team to address these challenges in order to make the world a safer place.

Work as a security researcher to support security products while building your expertise in vulnerability analysis and application security.

This is a full-time, 1-year contract with a high possibility of turning into a permanent role.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Produce threat intelligence data by research and analysis;
  • Analyze vulnerabilities and create test cases;
  • Cooperate with developers on security products maintained by our team;
  • Build tools and systems to conduct research and development.

Job Skills Required:

  • At least 3 years' of relevant/similar work experience
  • Experience and understanding of software programming languages (Python, Java);
  • Experience and understanding of Intel x86/x64 assembly language is an asset;
  • Experience with multiple languages (C/C++, JavaScript, Go, PHP, Dotnet, Ruby, Rust) is an asset;
  • Fast learner with a can-do attitude;
  • Team worker with good ability of communication;
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.

Educational Requirements:

  • Diploma of Technology or Bachelors of Computer Science or Electrical/Computer Engineering.
    • If you are a recent graduate, please submit a copy of your academic transcript with your resume.

The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $80,000 - $100,000 annually. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
