Pay Range
Commensurate with experience
The Rehab Supervisor is accountable for directly coaching Service Providers and carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the VHA Rehab Solutions policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees, evaluating performance, coaching employees or service providers when necessary regarding performance concerns, as well as addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Key Areas of Accountability
VHA's Rehab Supervisors have the following key areas of accountability, but not limited to:
- Plans, develops, facilitates, and evaluates the delivery of occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech language pathology, dietary and/or social work services in a specific region
- Evaluates adequate level of Service Providers to identify their clinical skills to meet service needs through providing leadership and effective management of human resources which includes the recruitment, management of contract for services agreements, performance evaluation and orientation of all team members
- Offers direction, input, support, and feedback to service providers through clinical and team meetings and on a one to one basis
- Participates with Managers and Regional Director in the planning, development of program goals, and service demands
- Works cooperatively and constructively with other members of the organization
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of a recognized university program in a related health care discipline combined with a minimum of five years progressive leadership responsibility, preferably in community rehabilitation or mental health
- Master’s Degree in Health Administration or Business administration or equivalent is an asset
- Member in good standing with a regulatory body such as COTO
- Valid Driver’s license and use of a car on the job
- Experience in the use of technology tools including electronic documentation systems such as Goldcare
- You endorse safe workplace practices and have comprehensive knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and RHPA.
