The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and resourceful Talent Acquisition Partner to join our growing People & Culture team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in identifying, attracting, and selecting top talent to support Versaterm's growth and success. You will partnering with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, develop effective recruitment strategies, and ensure an exceptional candidate experience.
This role is based full-time in our Ottawa office. Ask us about how you can participate in our In-Office Friday Flex Day Program and receive up to twelve (12) paid Fridays off per year (in addition to your annual vacation days!).
This role is a six (6) month contract with a high likelihood of extension or conversion to permanent afterwards.

What You'll Do
Recruitment and Sourcing:
- Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates for various roles.
- Utilize job boards, social media, networking events, and other channels to identify potential talent.
- Build and maintain a talent pipeline to meet current and future hiring needs.
- Review resumes, applications, and portfolios to identify suitable candidates.
- Conduct initial phone screenings, behavioural interviews, and schedule interviews with hiring managers.
- Facilitate and coordinate the interview process, ensuring alignment with company values and role requirements.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand job requirements and team dynamics.
- Provide regular updates on recruitment progress and insights into market trends.
- Act as a trusted advisor to hiring teams, offering guidance on best practices for attracting top talent.
- Promote Versaterm's employer brand through various recruitment channels and initiatives.
- Ensure a seamless and positive experience for all candidates throughout the hiring process.
- Represent the organization at career fairs, networking events, and industry conferences.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of recruitment activities in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Monitor and report on key metrics such as time-to-fill, source effectiveness, and hiring quality.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, preferably in a fast-paced, tech environment.
- Familiarity with various sourcing techniques and tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, ATS (Greenhouse), Boolean search).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail.
