Job Description

TDEF (TD Equipment Finance) is a leading Canadian specialized equipment financing business with the mandate support all parts of TD Bank in this product set. TDEF structures loans and leases to help clients grow their business and sources business from TD customers and directly across Canada.

Reporting to the Manager Audit – TD Equipment Finance (TDEF), this position is responsible for the booking and funding of Lease and Loan transactions in TDEF's book of record; EKIP, ensuring to adhere to compliance requirements in accordance with TD Bank's policy and procedures.

  • Leverage proficiency of various software applications/programs to ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions; strong knowledge of T-Value & PPSA / RDPRM requirements and AML/KYC policy and procedures.
  • Functions include review of documentation for accuracy, verify Insurance coverage aligns with bank/credit conditions, ensure Vendor/Client banking details are compliant, validate EKIP inputs prior to booking and prepare wires to initiate the funding process.
  • Review PPSA/RDPRM registrations against deal structure for accuracy/perfection and as required, confirm all waivers identified, are obtained, and properly executed.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Credit departments (or other functions as necessary) to facilitate the completion of the transactions.
  • Assist in identifying viable solutions to resolve trans‐actional issues.
  • Actively participate in Special Projects, as assigned by Management.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service at every interaction and execute on plans to improve the customer experience.
  • Pursue cross-training opportunities.
  • Actively participate in the performance management process including performance reviews, feedback, and coaching sessions as well as performance and development discussions.
  • Embrace and promote a positive environment that supports a diverse workplace.
  • A strong team player assisting with other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Service-level focused with an emphasis on attention to detail.
  • Be knowledgeable of and comply with Bank and Industry Codes of Conduct.

Job Requirement

  • 5 years equipment finance experience or Business experience in the financial industry is an asset.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills are essential.
  • Strong time management & independent with respect to setting priorities and managing partners expectations.
  • Must possess the ability to multitask.
  • Will work closely in a team environment to meet individual and team driven objectives.
  • Demonstrates the ability to be resourceful and initiative-taking in their approach to problem resolution.
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and applications.
  • Solid Knowledge of Microsoft Office required.

5 years of experience in equipment financing is an asset.
College or university degree is an asset.
