Position Description

The Product Coordinator is a key role, assisting with the new product development process for the Consumer Power Tools and Outdoor Power Equipment categories. Product commercialization is a cross functional process, and as such, the Product Coordinator will work with Product Managers, Sales, Demand Planning, Channel and Marketing on various projects and initiatives to support the RYOBI and RIDGID brands at our customer, The Home Depot. We’re looking for an individual with high attention to detail with the aptitude to become a product expert. This role is an entry into the Channel & Product Marketing team, with opportunity for advancement as the business continues to grow.

What You Will Do

  • Develop comprehensive competitor landscapes and conduct ad hoc research to identify opportunities and market trends
  • Create new product sell sheets and provide head-to-head product comparisons to empower the sales team
  • Collect and organize critical product data to ensure a seamless onboarding process
  • Send weekly reports tracking POS data for new product launches to monitor performance
  • Assist with maintaining and updating internal product databases to ensure accuracy and accessibility
  • Monitor and respond to online product reviews and feedback on homedepot.ca to enhance the customer experience
  • Conduct monthly training sessions to educate internal teams about newly launched products, ensuring everyone is equipped with the knowledge to drive success
  • Assist with the ordering and distribution of product samples
  • Assist with merchandizing setups for sales meetings, product training sessions and other events

What You Will Bring

  • Post-Secondary diploma or degree
  • Proficient use of MS Excel and Power Point
  • A strong multi-tasker that can prioritize tasks to meet business objectives deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
  • Driven by results and continuous improvement with a strong attention to detail
  • An analytical mind, able to think outside the box to display data in new, insightful ways
  • Willing to collaborate with cross-functional teams and have excellent verbal, written communication and influencing skills
  • Willing to take the initiative to solve a challenge with solid analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as optimizing resources to hit objectives
