- Identify and contact potential customers for metal fabrication products (gases and welding products) in targeted markets.
- Receive and processes customer orders (phone, email in, fax, in person when visiting)
- Prepare quotations and standard tender requests.
- Provide support to the local account executives for back-office activities.
- Perform phone “cold-calls” for network customers and “blitz” in some market segments.
- Do post-sales follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction
- Identify and respects our commitment to our customers and ensures that deliveries are made in time.
- Process and confirm delivery slips.
- Communicate with the logistics team to ensure cylinder replenishing.
- Use your welding knowledge and experience to deliver products to our customers, and help them find the right supplies for their projects and business needs
- Learn new computer systems, enabling you to give accurate information, pricing and quotes for our customers.
- Learn how to track orders/cylinders and expand your knowledge in logistics
- Plan routes for delivery and follow ALC's safety policies diligently
- Work in a clean and organized environment by maintaining our product displays
- Get to know our customer base both on the front line and making deliveries, learn about our products and mentor from our Outside Sales Team and Managers to grow your advancement opportunities!
- Do some cylinder and hardgoods delivery.
Are you a MATCH?
- 2 to 5 years of industry experience, customer service or sales of welding or industrial products
- Knowledge of welding processes and products
- Good knowledge of computer systems and google suite
- Secondary diploma
- Class 5 license, clean driver's abstract
- A positive attitude and customer service focus
- Forklift experience would be an asset as well
- Ability to lift 50lbs on a regular basis
