Registered Clinical Counselor - Lifemark Health Group
Location: Lifemark 64th Avenue, Langley, BC
Lifemark is excited about our new partnership with Partners in Canadian Veterans Rehabilitation Services (PCVRS), the national contractor for the administration and delivery of all medical, psychosocial and vocational rehabilitation services. Your work will make a difference to the lives Canadian Veterans, whose service-related health conditions limits their functioning in civilian life, as well as to employees in organizations focused on workplace health, and insured employees and private payers reaching out on their own for support for their mental health concerns.

Location: Lifemark 64th Avenue, Langley, BC
- Hybrid team environment is available
- In-person preferred on Tuesday and Friday
- 20-30 hours/week (Part Time up to Full Time)
- Compensation models include hourly and Fee for Service ($38.00-$55.00/hr)

Responsibilities:
- Provide counselling services to clients referred privately, by employers, by various insurance companies, and other third-party organizations to address psychosocial problems related to injury, trauma, and mental illness.
- Adopt a goal-focussed, therapeutic approach for alleviating distress and improving social and occupational functioning.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences to discuss clients’ treatment plan and goals, the progress made to date, and any barriers to treatment.
- Delivery quality reporting and effective communication with all stakeholders.
Licensing:
- Clinical Counsellors must have a Master’s degree in Counselling / Clinical Psychology and be registered with the BC Association of Clinical Counselors
- Experience in case conceptualization and treatment of a range of mental health symptoms with a variety of adult clients.
- Must have minimum 5 years experience as a Registered Clinical Counsellor.
- Have clinical knowledge in the areas of grief/loss, depression, anxiety, trauma, and adjustment issues.
- Knowledge of psychological management of chronic pain and concussive syndrome and PTSD are required.
- Training and experience with cognitive behavioural therapy approaches (e.g., CBT, ACT, CPT).
- Experience working as part of a multi/interdisciplinary team.
- Experience preparing assessment, progress and discharge reports.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, solid judgement, and integrity.
