Do you have experience in managing processes and driving projects in the HR space? The Legal Talent team at Osler Hoskin & Harcourt LLP is responsible for specialized HR strategies and operations for law students and associates at Osler and we are looking for someone to join us as an Operations & Project Analyst in our Toronto office.
Reporting to the Chief Legal Talent Officer, the Operations & Project Analyst will play a key role in supporting and optimizing operations, administration and project management, of the Legal Talent department. The position will participate in planning, organizing, managing and implementing various initiatives and tasks in support of the operational and financial success of the department.
Major Responsibilities:
Education and Experience
This position requires a university degree in a business administration related field and 3 to 5 years of experience. Experience in human resources and professional services is preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be acceptable.
Knowledge and Skills
We are currently working in a hybrid work arrangement, which includes a requirement to work primarily in the office and flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days per week.

Major Responsibilities:
- Support full cycle of projects from proposal to implementation, including approval process and business requirements
- Monitor and manage project life cycle to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed upon time, cost, and quality parameters
- Proactively identify, quantify, and track project issues and risks to ensure timely resolution and successful outcomes.
- Assist in the development of current and future department operational goals and major projects
- Develop, monitor, and present of key reports and financial analysis in relation to the management of departmental performance
- Report and track performance against department goals and objectives
- Support the human resources activities for the department, such as, assisting with succession planning, staffing requirements, organizational design, org charts, professional development and training for the team
- Support regular national and functional legal talent management meetings (agendas, scheduling, action items, follow ups etc.)
- Develop presentations and reports in relation various matters (for buy-in; for status updates; to present data; to educate; for decision making purposes etc.
Education and Experience

- Proactive approach to work, with a growth and continuous improvement mindset
- Superior time management skills in order to efficiently multi-task and prioritize
- In-depth knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Experience in project management and knowledge of human resources is an asset
