Reporting into the Financial Reporting team, the key focus for Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Reporting is to prepare and deliver quality financial reporting. The Senior Financial Analyst would be experienced with IFRS in order to make the appropriate assessment of financial reporting matters.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyze specific account variances, communicate the impacts and follow-through with appropriate actions
- Analyze, draft and document accounting entries and schedules for investments in joint ventures and associates
- Analyze, organize, document and account for business acquisition and divestiture transactions
- Support in monthly internal reporting of consolidated results
- Perform detailed drafting of financial statements, MD&A and press release on Workiva Wdesk
- Prepare quarterly supporting for specific financial statements notes disclosures and financial information in the MD&A and press release
- Ensure the consistency of disclosures within and between all financial reporting documents
- Assist in coordination efforts of external audit with various departments
- Contribute to continuous improvements of financial reporting
- Propose updates to the company’s accounting and financial reporting policies as needed
- Perform IFRS research, evaluating appropriate accounting treatments to draft accounting position memos
- Other ad-hoc special projects as required
- Designated CPA is required
- 3+ years of related experience, including public accounting experience
- Strong IFRS knowledge in analyzing complex accounting and financial reporting matters
- Self-starter with drive to take action to problem-solve
- Awareness of relationship and impacts of disclosures across financial statements, management discussion and analysis and press release
- Must be able to produce workings meeting SOX control environment expectations
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments to resolve issues
- Have attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work additional hours as dictated by reporting schedules
- Experience in Workiva Wdesk and Workday would be an asset
