Our Fitness & Wellness Department is looking for a dedicated Weight Room Attendant to join the team.

Position Responsibilities

The Fitness & Wellness Department at Eastlink Centre is looking for individuals with customer service and hands-on familiarity with fitness equipment, gym safety, and proper exercise techniques.

• Oversee the Weight Room by maintaining cleanliness, and order, and implementing Policies and Procedures.
• Must possess superior customer service skills, enthusiasm and pride.
• Strong values in the areas of community and respect are essential and help us to achieve our vision of each day creating a positive and enjoyable experience.
  
  

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing and exchange appropriate information with staff, and guests
• Exceptional customer service focus, and high level of verbal, written and listening skills
• High school Diploma, Valid Standard First Aid/CPR and Current fitness certification is an asset
• Able to work with patrons of varying demographics
• Proven ability to be proactive and work without supervision
• Teamwork skills and ability to work collaboratively
• Ability to embrace change
  
  

Hours

The standard workweek consists of an average of 35 hours, with the specific schedule being determined by the immediate supervisor.

Compensation

Starting Salary $23.65 per hour as per the CUPE Collective Agreement.
