As a Systems Administrator, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our IT hardware and operating systems infrastructure, protecting our existing technology investments while exploring innovative solutions to help us work smarter and support ongoing business operations and improvement initiatives.

Note: This role requires flexibility, whether working overtime, on weekends or travelling occasionally to support other locations.

More about your responsibilities:

  • IT Infrastructure: Take charge of managing and maintaining our IT infrastructure, including cloud-hosted servers, networks, and operating systems, to ensure everything runs smoothly and reliably.
  • IT Operations: Support the daily operations of our technology systems, providing hands-on support to users across multiple locations, including London, Brampton, and warehouse facilities.
  • System Uptime and Performance: Play a key role in keeping our systems available 24/7, ensuring optimal performance to support a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment across time zones.
  • Cloud Services: Manage and support Microsoft 365 and other cloud services, ensuring seamless functionality for teams across the organization.
  • Security Standards: Protect our technology by implementing and updating security measures to prevent unauthorized access and keep systems safe.
  • Business Continuity: Develop and execute reliable backup and recovery procedures, testing them regularly to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
  • System Upgrades and Fixes: Be hands-on with operating system upgrades, bug fixes, and patching, ensuring our systems stay updated and efficient.
  • Technology Enhancements: Advise on technology maintenance, upgrades, and replacements, focusing on initiatives that make the biggest impact.
  • Hardware: Set up and maintain essential equipment like PCs, servers, VOIP systems, routers, and switches to keep our operations running seamlessly.
  • Policies and Standards: Help shape policies, standards, and procedures to ensure best practices across our IT operations.
  • Production Systems: Support the installation, maintenance, and optimization of production systems, software, and communication links.
  • Be the Go-To Expert: Serve as the primary point of contact for hardware and infrastructure issues while coordinating with external resources when needed.
  • Contribute Beyond Expectations: Take on additional duties and exciting projects as needed to support our growing organization.

What you’ll bring

  • A post-secondary diploma in a related field is required.
  • Proven experience managing multi-network platforms, multi-application systems, and cloud technologies in a multi-location environment.
  • Strong expertise in ERP systems and Microsoft applications to support organizational efficiency and operations.
