Job Description

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the role will be responsible for the general cleaning and housekeeping of production and other areas for IKO Calgary facility. This includes assisting the production and maintenance department in maintaining the building, keeping them clean and organized. Most of the work will be done indoors, with some outdoor duties.

Responsibilities:

• Adhering to safety policies, programs, procedures
• General cleaning and housekeeping duties of manufacturing and storage facility
• Operating cleaning equipment in accordance with standard work instructions
• Operating counterbalance, propane-powered forklift
• Additional duties as assigned
  
  

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Minimum 1 year experience in heavy-industrial manufacturing or construction industry preferred
• Minimum 1 year of proven forklift operating experience preferred
• Comfortable standing for extended periods of time
• Manual dexterity and attention to detail
• Ability to follow direction and specific instructions
• Good communication skills; Fluent in English - Reading, Writing and Speaking
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a routine basis
• Must be able to walk and/or stand 90% of the shift
• Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces
