Investment Director, Canadian Fixed Income, Public Markets
Aviva

This is a great job for someone who has a passion for markets with an in-depth knowledge of North American client groups.
A bit about the job:
As an Investment Director at Aviva Investors, you will act as a knowledgeable representative of our investment capabilities, providing training and knowledge sharing to distribution teams. You will drive product strategy in collaboration with distribution and investment teams, ensuring our products are clearly differentiated from peers. Additionally, you will present to North American clients and consultants on investment-related topics, integrating client insights with the investment desk to support commercial success.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Extensive knowledge of financial markets, especially Fixed Income. Experience in other asset classes or willingness to learn is an advantage.
- Proven experience presenting to North American clients and consultants on investment-related topics in various settings (meetings, conferences).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong commercial acumen with a drive to win new business.
- Effective and up-to-date regulatory knowledge.
What you’ll get for this role:
- Compelling rewards package including base compensation, eligibility for annual bonus, retirement savings, share plan, health benefits, personal wellness, and volunteer opportunities.
- Outstanding Career Development opportunities.
- We’ll support your professional development education.
- Competitive vacation package with the option to purchase 5 extra days off per year.
- Employee driven programs focused on gender, LGBTQ+, origins, diversity and inclusion.
- Corporate wellness programs to support our employees’ physical and mental health.
- Hybrid flexible work model.
In this role you’ll be ‘Certified’ under the Financial Conduct Authority / Prudential Regulation Authority’s Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR). This means that we’ll need to complete some regulatory background checks on you before you take up your role and we’ll need to ask you some questions on an annual basis to make sure you remain ‘fit and proper’ and competent to carry out your role. We’ll provide training on what holding a SMCR role means when you join us and annually thereafter.
