Senior Data Analyst

We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to play a key role in the migration of business functions from legacy BI solutions to a modern Enterprise Data Platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing data, assessing data readiness, and ensuring data quality throughout the migration process.

In this role, you will contribute to data discovery, documentation, and validation while supporting the development of BI reporting and visualization solutions in Power BI. You will also work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain and update the Enterprise Data Catalog and ensure alignment with business requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to defining the optimal strategy to migrate business functions from existing BI solutions to the Enterprise Data Platform.
• Analyze data for the migration from Legacy Bi systems to the Data Lake / Enterprise Data stores / Analytical Data Stores
• Assist in the analysis of BI reporting and visualization solutions and semantic layer on Power BI.
• Assist with estimating work effort for delivering artifacts supporting data analysis involving multiple business domains and applications.
• Perform data source discovery through reverse engineering, data readiness assessment, and analysis.
• Generate and document data analysis reports and corresponding metadata to support functional design specifications and register in the Enterprise Data Catalog
• Validate data quality once data is loaded and/or generated and make sure the data is aligned with the analysis.
• Ensure data dictionaries are kept up to date and maintain the Data Catalog
  
  
  

Required experience and skills:

• University degree or higher in computer science, business administration, business intelligence, statistics, mathematics or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience as a Data Analyst or an equivalent role.
• Minimum 12 years or experience in application design and business requirements gathering.
• Experienced in Entity-Relationship, Multidimensional, Data Vault modeling techniques.
• Experience in stored procedure and view development.
• Strong understanding of relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) and NoSQL data stores.
• Strong understanding of normalization concepts; 1NF, 2NF, 3N
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI composite models, workspaces, datasets, and data flows.
• Experience with other dashboarding/reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, BusinessObjects).
• Experience with big data tools (e.g., Databricks, Data Factory, Data Lake);
• Expert knowledge and experience with SQL Server and writing SQL code;
• Experience with agile processes and software engineering best practices.
