We are looking for a hands-on Senior Software Engineering Manager to join the Execution Solutions Engineering team! The role will report to and working closely with the Engineering Director and other stakeholders.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end development and delivery of large-scale software solutions and the people management of a team of engineers, some of whom are globally remote. The engineering team will ensure business requirements are applied and lean on their experience of software engineering and development lifecycles to lead change in exciting software challenges and customer solutions.
We are looking for a senior full-stack manager with strong C#, .NET (core or framework), Java, Microservice Architecture, and Database skills!

Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of highly experienced engineers, holding responsibility for motivation, retention and performance management, as well as promoting an inclusive and open culture
- Lead the delivery of meaningful projects, working autonomously and with little direction; may ensure implementation of work from team members, delegating work when required
- Align team priorities and activity to the strategic delivery and transformation direction, ensuring prioritisation of key activities
- Demonstrate an extensive knowledge of technologies and/or thought leadership level of knowledge of a technology, providing direction, mentoring and advising others on design, development and / or implementation standard methodology and processes
- Contribute to technical roadmaps implementing a technical solution strategy
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of how the technology / domain strategy relates to and impacts own and others' work, holding responsibility for the implementation of strategy and culture within teams. Contributes to define the strategy
- Evaluate how new technology or techniques may better implement the strategy, proposes patterns for its use and owns the development of reference code to set a standard
- Build positive relationships with internal and external partners, growing own network and collaborating with other teams.
- Communicates sophisticated / technical information clearly and concisely in an audience appropriate
- 10+ years of Software Development and Technical team management experience.
- Role involves 50% People Management & 50% Technical
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or Software/Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Relational Database experience (such as MySql, SQL Server, Oracle and/or Postgres)
- Familiarity with cloud native application architecture patterns.
- Architecting applications in AWS or Microsoft Azure.
- API Design concepts and Development of RESTful web services.
