The Digital Content and Channels Specialist is a cross-functional MarComm role supporting both marketing and communications priorities. The role is responsible for the planning, execution, and utilization of content within the Interac digital channel ecosystem, ensuring that MarComm plans in support of the Interac products and brand are properly supported and maximized via digital opportunities. The role contributes to digital marketing, communications, social media, website, podcast and email content, working with our agency partners, vendors, and internal stakeholders to help contribute to our overall digital MarComm mandate.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Contribute to the management of our social media channels, YouTube channel and interac.ca/In The Know, The Hub – as well as any future digital platforms – to ensure strategic alignment and ongoing growth, effective operation according to our defined standards
- Manage the creation of organic content for our social media channels, ensuring integration into our always on PESO strategic plan, and directly produce original content as needed
- Act as writer and editor of the In the Know content environment on Interac.ca, producing and managing content that is search-optimized for earned acquisition
- Bring stories to life visually through images, infographics, presentations and other multi-media assets
- Create and edit video content using Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or another video editing software
- Support our email marketing strategy and activation, with a focus on lead-generation to support business development and growing our subscription database for our Interac newsletter
- Manage our holistic content calendar across all Interac owned and shared digital channels: Interac.ca/In The Know, social media channels, YouTube, newsletter(s), audio/podcast, our internal Hub and others as needed
- Work with our agency partners to plan and execute our SEO and SEM strategies for interac.ca and YouTube and other digital channels as needed
- Support the community management of our social media channels, working closely with communications and our agency partners on response guides and plans, utilizing our reactive and proactive strategy to maximize engagement and minimize risks.
- Work with internal stakeholders across Interac, acting as a subject-matter-expert to support their business objectives and priorities, while building excellent relationships across the organization and demonstrating strong collaboration skills.
- Contribute to performance reporting across content activity and digital channels on an ongoing basis, helping to build and refine quarterly MarComm reports.
- Contribute to budget management and planning to content and digital channel work is tracked and allocated to appropriate budgets.
You bring:
- 3-4 years of professional marketing experience, either directly with a brand or with an advertising or marketing agency, including experience in managing integrated campaigns of varying scale
- Professional experience with digital platforms, social media channels, content marketing and influencer marketing, with a keen understanding of best practices and innovation
- Expertise in digital analytics and measurement across marketing channels, including producing reports that highlight KPIs and distill results; experience with GA4 is a plus
- Ability to create digital and social media content, including experience working with platforms such as Canva, Photoshop, and Adobe Premier (or similar content creation programs)
- Experience with managing agency relationships, including tracking and managing related budgets and facilitating feedback
- Excellent time-management and planning skills, with an ability to meet deadlines and manage workback schedules across multiple projects; experience in Asana (or similar program management platforms) a plus
- Strong presentation skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to distill results and insights into key take-aways and action items
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with multiple stakeholders, and demonstrate leadership within the workplace as a digital content expert
- Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity
