We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. As our Human Resources Coordinator, you will contribute to a positive and efficient employee experience, supporting the full employee lifecycle. Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment & Onboarding:
    • Support the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and communicating with candidates.
    • Manage the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing offer letters, conducting background checks, processing paperwork, and facilitating new hire orientations.
    • Maintain accurate electronic employee records and employee files.
  • Employee Relations:
    • Provide support to employees on HR-related inquiries, including questions about policies, benefits, and procedures.
    • Assist with employee relations matters, such as addressing employee concerns and escalating issues as needed.
    • Support the administration of employee benefits programs, including enrolment, changes, and inquiries.
    • Track employee attendance, leaves of absence, and other related data.
  • HR Operations & Administration:
    • Assist with HR-related administrative tasks, such as preparing reports, maintaining databases, and managing HR-related documentation.
    • Support payroll processing by providing accurate employee data and information.
    • Assist with the coordination of employee training and development programs.
    • Contribute to HR projects and initiatives as assigned, such as policy updates, process improvements, and employee engagement activities.
  • Compliance:
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant employment laws and regulations (e.g., ESA, Human Rights Code, etc.).
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
    • Assist with internal and external audits related to HR compliance.
Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. A CHRP designation or working towards one is considered an asset.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a Human Resources role or related administrative experience is typically required. Experience with HRIS systems is highly desirable.
