Location: North Vancouver, BC
Job Type: Full Time
Shift available: Rotating

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Perform housekeeping duties in a designated area on site, including sweeping and shoveling products and grain dust into mobile equipment.
  • Perform facility operations such as receiving and shipping products, seed, and grain.
  • Knowledge and adherence to federal Occupational Safety and Health rules and regulations as related to plant safety.
  • Assist other plant personnel as needed and perform any other duty as requested by the production supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with PPE, including a respirator.
  • Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above).
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written).
  • Basic use of a computer.
  • Ability to work day, afternoon, and night shifts, as well as overtime, weekends, and holidays with advance notice.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous forklift experience.
  • Possess a valid Canadian Full Class 5 Driver’s License in good standing, authorizing you to drive independently during the course of your employment.
  • Experience in a production or plant environment.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces.
  • High School diploma or GED Equivalent.
