Make an impact within Tariffs & Trade Advisory. Our team of professional trade consultants and analysts offer specialized and scalable advisory services on the tariffication of import-export trade, and on regulatory admissibility of goods into various jurisdictions. As an Analyst, you will be learning new aspects of the business every day, while evaluating trade data and regulatory positions of our clients for review by senior team members before delivery of advice to clients.

As one of a team of trusted advisors, your role will involve actively participating in client information-gathering activities, conducting extensive research, and preparing top-notch deliverables. Join us in our commitment to excellence and client satisfaction amidst the shifting landscape of global tariff and trade compliance.

  • Participate in customs audits, internal compliance reviews, and assist in resolving non-compliance issues in our clients’ trade chains.
  • Assist in import duties and taxes (ID&T) lookback reviews as well as in planning initiatives aimed at reducing ID&T costs through a variety of data collection methods. In particular, you will be responsible for performing digital data pulls, and for administering requests for information and other interview and/or survey methods of data collection. You will become familiar with import-export records sampling and review processes.
  • Support compliance processes by assisting with registrations, permit applications, filings and submissions to government authorities that are stakeholders in the administration of imports and exports. The government authorities involved typically include the Canada Border Services Agency and US Customs and Border Protection, and to a lesser extent, the Canada Revenue Agency, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal, Finance Canada and Global Affairs Canada.
  • Build up deliverables for client consumption while teaming efficiently with other team members, reviewers, and with engagement managers.
  • Support Tariff & Trade Advisory’s collective knowledge base by analyzing and reporting on policy and legislation news and developments related to import-export trade compliance.
  • Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary.
