Responsibilities: As an Mechanical Bid Specialist, you'll play a critical role in driving the growth and profitability of our HVAC service business in the Ottawa branch. You will be responsible for preparing and submitting bids for Mechanical and Plumbing projects. This role involves understanding client requirements, preparing competitive bids, and ensuring compliance with all bidding regulations as well as reading mechanical blueprints regularly.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Meeting with Engineering firms and potential clients for new business.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical blueprints and documents.
• Assist in the preparation and submission of high-quality bids and proposals for Mechanical contracts.
• Conduct thorough research to gather relevant information and data for bid submissions.
• Review and analyze tender documents, ensuring all requirements are met.
• Maintain and update bid documentation and templates.
• Coordinate with various departments to gather necessary information and inputs for bids.
• Ensure timely submission of bids and manage deadlines effectively.
• Support post-submission activities, including clarifications and presentations.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Experience bidding in the mechanical industry
• Diploma in a mechanical field an asset
• Strong understanding of Hvac/Mechanical
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
