The Director, Patient Care Services provides context and strategic guidance in the operations of a clinical program within the Royal Ottawa Health Care Group. This position guides and directs the delivery of patient care services specific to the clinical program in collaboration with the Clinical Director the implementation of service standards, metrics and human resource management; fostering positive employee, patient, community and partner relations specific to the clinical services; ensuring program meets accreditation standards, develop and adhere to patient and employee safety standards.
Duties:
- Oversees operations in line with clinical context of the Integrated Schizophrenia Recovery program in collaboration with the Community Mental Health program
- Ensuring integration of clinical research and teaching with clinical practice
- Ensures effective delivery of interdisciplinary services and access to patient care services
- Coaching and monitoring staff, oversee talent management processes and performance management
- Planning, developing and administering operating and capital budgets.
- Ensuring developing of program goals and objectives in line with corporate goals
- Responsible for police/practice and procedure development and documentation
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or equivalent in a health care related field.
- Ten plus years of progressive leadership experience in clinical services and administration
- Experience in human resources management, budgeting, strategic planning, and project management
- Specialized training in project management, human resources management, collective agreements, change management, patient and workplace safety
- Active affiliation with appropriate Human Resources networks and organizations
- Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills
- Ability to lead and motivate groups
- Ability to ensure adherence to patient and workplace safety
- Bilingual (French/English) is an asset.
Salary Range: 67.50 to 80.61 per hour
