Position Overview
Under the general supervision of the Manager Health Services, Mental Health and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional psychiatric and emergency nursing services for patients, including those with complex and unpredictable health needs. These services include independent nursing services, administration of prescribed medical treatments, a leadership role within the health care team, and coordination of patient care and discharge.

Experience
- Recent Psychiatric and/or Emergency Nursing experience required.
- Please be advised this position will work in the Emergency Mental Health pod and Inpatient Mental Health units as well as non-monitored areas of the Emergency department.
- NOTE: Successful completion of the WRHA Emergency Level 1A and WRHA Mental Health Education will be required during orientation.
- CRNM registration required.
- Active participation in professional associations e.g. Association of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred.

- Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
