The International Test Pilots School (ITPS Canada) is seeking a dynamic and organized Marketing and Event Coordinator to join our team. This role will focus on planning, executing, and promoting various events and also support our overall marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a creative mindset, and a passion for delivering exceptional experiences.

ITPS is Canada's only test pilot school. We are a diverse aerospace organization providing flight test training to civil and military clients worldwide. As a designated learning institution, we offer online and short courses, Master of Science degrees, and EASA-compliant graduate courses.

Reporting to the Director, Sales and Marketing. Key responsibilities are:

Marketing Support:

  • Assist in the development and execution of marketing strategies and campaigns to promote events and brand initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze marketing campaign performance, providing insights for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of event details, budgets, and marketing activities.
  • Assist in managing social media accounts, ensuring consistent branding and messaging.
  • Maintain communication with key stakeholders and regularly update the client base on company events.
  • Support marketing department initiatives.

Event Coordination:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team and other stakeholders to plan and organize various internal events, including semi-annual seminars, ITPS visits, webinars, and other marketing initiatives.
  • Oversee all aspects of trade show participation, managing registrations, vendor relationships, travel arrangements, sponsorships, venue requirements (booth compliance), and other logistics to ensure seamless execution.
  • Handle event logistics for semi-annual seminars, coordinating with vendors (such as catering, audiovisual, and transportation) and providing on-site support.
  • Create event timelines, budgets, and reports to evaluate the effectiveness of each event.
  • Manage the registration processes for attendees and presenters, ensuring accurate maintenance of attendee databases.
  • Serve as a point of contact for event-related inquiries and communications.
  • Build relationships with vendors and attendees to enhance engagement and loyalty.
  • Work with the marketing team to prepare promotional materials to increase event visibility.

Qualifications:

  • Degree/Diploma in Marketing, Communications, Event Management or CRM (relevant experience may also be considered in lieu of a degree/diploma for the right candidate).
  • Experience in event coordination and marketing.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel (tech-savvy and able to learn new concepts).
  • Creative problem-solver with a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Google Ads, Google Analytics (GA4), Meta, X Business and LinkedIn advertising certification/skills are assets.
  • Experience with CRM software is an asset.
  • Project management skills are an asset.
  • Photography experience is an asset.
  • Webinar creation experience is an asset.
