Customer Service Representative

Wage: $16.50 per hour

Job Description:

The Instant Return Representative is an essential member of the airport location team and serves as the brand ambassador by providing a fast, easy, and valued experience to customers. This position involves providing attentive, courteous, and timely service to customers returning their vehicles.

Responsibilities:

• Providing exemplary customer service by managing the vehicle return process in compliance with Hertz’s policies and procedures.
• Resolving customer service concerns and issues professionally and effectively.
• Inspecting the returning vehicle, recording any new damage, and completing the required documentation.
• Collecting damage costs for minor damages as outlined by company policy and procedures.
• Driving continuous improvement by communicating customer feedback to the team and engaging in action planning to improve operational performance and customer satisfaction.
• Adhering to all company policies and procedures.
• Providing directions in a courteous and expedient manner.
• Following guidelines of the customer service training provided to employees, successfully resolving customer issues and leaving customers with a positive experience.
• Offering additional services as appropriate, such as general directions, assisting with luggage, and responding to other customer requests.
• Ensuring accident/incident reports are entered into the system and where appropriate, charging customers for damage when closing rentals.
• Paying extra attention to windshield chips/cracks and charging customers if detected when closing rentals.
• Providing customers with final invoices and explaining all charges courteously.
• Performing any other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Strong oral and written communication skills, the ability to build relationships with customers, strong multitasking skills, the ability to upsell and overcome customer objections, and a high level of ownership, accountability, and initiative. All employment is contingent on the successful completion of a background screen.
