Gain valuable teaching experience. Oxford Learning Kleinburg is currently seeking an ECE full-time teacher/supervisor for a role in our learning centre. This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with students, enjoys teaching the ins and outs of language, and is passionate about helping others build their skills in this area.

Required

You will be required to create daily programming for a group of 5 students minimum between the ages of 2.5-4. You must be able to effectively execute:

• circle time
• create fun interactive activites for students
• create weekly themes and implement them throughout each week/month
• create fun sensory bins
  
  

Position Requirements

You will be required to work Monday - Friday from 8am-3pm or 4pm. A commitment until the end of the term in June is preferred. Continuing through the summer is even better. Your students will love working with you, and being reliable is a must.

This role is in-person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online position. No relocation package is offered. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

Education

• ECE
• minimum 2 years experience working with children ages 2.5-4.
  
  

Experience

• Some experience teaching/tutoring at a Kindergarten level
• Strong English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students' understanding
• Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
  
  

Responsibilities (Position Details)

The Little Readers program is an enriched half day/full day reading program for children aged 2.5 – 4 that develops the foundational skills needed to learn and excel in preparation for grade 1. We are an academic based learning centre. Our program is just starting up and we have very small group ratios currently.

The Little Readers teachers use proprietary materials to teach students letter names, sounds, phonics, reading, comprehension, vocabulary, writing, and fine motor skills.

You will work directly with our younger students as an Interactive Coach with the following responsibilities:

• Teaching up to 5 students at a time at different levels
• Teaching in-person
• Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
• Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times
  
  

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: This job starts at $18/hour until a probation period has ended. An increase is then discussed.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday 8am - 3pm/4pm
