Instructional Designer/Developer II:

On behalf of our Oil & Gas client, Procom is searching for an Instructional Designer/Developer for a 1-year role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s office in Edmonton, Calgary, or North York.


Instructional Designer/Developer II - Job Description:

The project involves executing end-to-end training design, development, and trainer enablement to support a Finance workstream as part of a Utility integration and future ERP transformation. The role includes identifying training requirements and delivering training activities to aid end-user adoption.


Instructional Designer/Developer II - Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Functional Change Specialist and Subject Matter Experts to conduct training needs analysis
• Design learning objectives and create storyboards for training courses
• Recommend appropriate delivery mechanisms
• Design, develop, implement, evaluate, and revise curriculum and learning resources
• Create and maintain Detailed Development Design plans using the ADDIE process
• Manage timeline for SME review and input
• Perform quality control of other Instructional Designers' work
• Deliver train-the-trainer sessions and serve as a resource during training sessions
• Revise training based on initial feedback to close learning gaps
• Highlight risks/dependencies to Training Lead and recommend mitigations
• Conduct knowledge transfer and transition activities
  
  
  

Instructional Designer/Developer II - Mandatory Skills:

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Adult Education, Instructional Design, or related field
• Minimum of five years' experience in training needs analysis and curriculum development
• Knowledge of current adult learning theories and ADDIE principles
• Proven ability in designing and writing course materials and assessments
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills
• Team player with the ability to work collaboratively
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  
  
  

Instructional Designer/Developer II – Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience working on an ERP project involving SAP, Maximo, or Oracle Cloud
• Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Finance Modules
• Experience with Articulate 360, PowerPoint, and Word
• Ability to create animated videos using Vyond and screen recordings with Camtasia
• Experience with video editing using ClipChamp
