Your Opportunity:
Reporting to the site Health Information/Records Management (HIRM) Supervisor this position works independently and collaboratively, as a steward of the health record, to ensure integrity of patient information, regardless of media. The position performs a variety of duties including but not limited to: Scanning, indexing, auditing and remediation of clinical documents; Deficiency Management; Quality assurance and control of scanned and imported electronic documents; Record retention, tracking, retrieval, and destruction; Processing identified Release of Information (ROI) requests; Assisting the public with health information request inquiries. This position acts as an ambassador to represent Health Information Management.

Required Qualifications
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications
Proficient in English language skills in reading, writing, and oral communication required; accurate keyboarding skills of 40 wpm is required and can be demonstrated through a pre-employment skill test; proficient with use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) required with formal training preferred; Medical Terminology required; experience with computers and various types of office equipment required; attentive to details and thoroughness in a fast-paced environment with rapidly-changing priorities; time management and ability to prioritize; verbal and written communication skills for internal and external communication; ability to be self-directed in completion of assigned work. Preferred Qualifications
Graduate of a Unit Clerk or Medical Office Assistant course, preferred. Previous hospital experience in an office environment, preferred. Previous experience in Health Information/Records Management, preferred.
