Under the direction of the Director, Information Technology, TBRHSC/SJCG and Regional CISO, this position is responsible for managing the activities and staff of the Regional Security Operations Centre (RSOC). The RSOC is a service hosted by TBRHSC currently on behalf of all hospital organizations in the North West. The approved Ministry of Health/Ontario Health Cybersecurity Operating Model has assigned TBRHSC as the host of the regional service The RSOC provides cybersecurity services to organizations and has been mandated to provide these services over time to all health system partners in the North West. The IT Security Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the cybersecurity Operations Centre within the North West Local Delivery Group. This role involves ensuring the alignment of local cybersecurity practices with the provincial and regional cybersecurity operating model, providing shared security services to members, and supporting the execution of Ontario Health s cybersecurity mandate. This position provides leadership and supervision of ticket management, tracking and resolution, service level agreements, reporting, and ensuring work is performed consistent with budgetary goals and objectives. This individual will plan, coordinate, design and manage all security related activities, as well as provide administrative management and support for daily operational activities of the RSOC. The IT Security Manager will work closely with decision makers in other member organizations to identify, recommend, develop, agree, implement, and support cost‑effective technology solutions for each member and in alignment with the region and province. This person will also draft, shepherd all member approvals, and implement IT security policies, procedures, and best practices
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience:
*Diploma or university degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field *7+ years experience in IT security management, preferably within the healthcare sector with experience and achievements at a progressively senior level *Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent
Skills/Abilities:
*Identify the level of knowledge, skills and/or abilities required to perform the essential job responsibilities and duties competently *Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills *Experience with cybersecurity frameworks, standards and best practices
Assets:
*ITIL certification, Project Management skills
Salary Range: $60.474 to 71.146
