The Role:

The Senior Information Systems Analyst acts as a vital link between end users, IM&C, and vendor support teams, bridging strategic and operational efforts. This role encompasses various responsibilities, including application support, business analysis, process design, system configuration, and project management. The analyst will spearhead initiatives to implement and enhance application software platforms like the Grants Management System, Customer Relationship Management, and Enterprise Resource Planning, all while ensuring these efforts align with organizational goals, meet security standards, and address user needs. Additionally, this position will play a key role in shaping and refining the services and processes of the Information Management & Cybersecurity department.


Core Areas of Responsibility:

System Management

  • Utilize ticketing systems and knowledge bases to track, manage, and resolve support requests efficiently.
  • Collaborate with other Information Management & Cybersecurity department’s services and processes.
  • Configure systems, including workflows, permissions, and forms
  • Manage application onboarding and decommissioning
  • Liaise with vendor support teams to resolve issues and implement updates

Business Analysis & Process Design

  • Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders
  • Design and document current and future state workflows
  • Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications
  • Support integration between applications to enable seamless data flow

Documentation & Training

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of support documentation and FAQs to enhance self-service resources
  • Deliver application/system training sessions to end users with varying levels of digital literacy
  • Maintain documentation for system configurations and process changes

Project Management

  • Lead or support the Information Management & Cybersecurity department’s services and processes.
  • Lead business projects related to application implementation and enhancement
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocations
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder communications
  • Monitor project progress, risks, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes
  • Support change management and post-implementation reviews

Governance & Collaboration

  • Ensure application configurations align with cybersecurity and data governance standards
  • Provide feedback to leadership on system performance and user needs
  • Participate in internal committees and cross-functional projects

Experience, Education, and Credentials

  • Diploma or degree in business analysis, information systems, or related field
  • 5–7 years of experience in application support, business analysis, or system configuration
  • Experience with configurable platforms
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • Experience managing or coordinating projects

Preferred

  • Experience in nonprofit or public sector environments
  • Familiarity with data governance and cybersecurity principles
  • Certifications such as CBAP, ITIL, PMP, or BPMN are an asset

The Recruitment Process

· First in-person interview (conducted within 2 weeks after phone screening interviews)
