The Greater Essex County District School Board invites applications from interested, qualified individuals for the Temporary role of Behaviour Analyst (up to full-time position) within the Special Education Department. This is a temporary, unionized (O.S.S.T.F. - P.S.S.P.), up to 35 hours per week assignment scheduled to start in December 2025, up to and including June 26, 2026. This posting is the result of an awarded Breaking Barriers Grant for the 2025/2026 school year.

POSITION : Behaviour Analyst - Temporary (up to 1.0 F.T.E. - up to 35 hours per week)

RATE OF PAY : In accordance with Article 11 of the current Collective Agreement, the annual salary for this position is $79,617 (minimum) to $96,357 (maximum).

START DATE : December 2025

HOURS OF WORK : Schedules are flexible and part-time hours are available within the hours of 8:00am- 4:30pm.


Nature & Scope of Position:


The Behaviour Analyst (formerly known as Board Certified Behaviour Analyst) will:

  • Provide behavioural expertise to the school-based team, supporting children with behaviour challenges and exceptionalities with assessment and programming.
  • Provide consultation, observation and data collection within the school environment.
  • Communicate regularly with classroom teams, interdisciplinary professionals, and parents/guardians as part of the school-based team.
  • Assist with the delivery of training to staff within the Greater Essex County District School Board, designed to promote the application of best practice in Applied Behaviour Analysis.


Qualifications:


  • Good standing as a Registered Behaviour Analyst with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario
  • Completion of a post-graduate program in Autism, Behaviour Science, Education, or Psychology
  • Training in Applied Behaviour Analysis from a recognized facility
  • Experience in the application of ABA within an educational setting
  • Experience with the facilitation/leading of adult learning and training
  • Experience working with children and youth with exceptionalities
  • Well-developed organizational and coordination skills
  • Demonstrated skills working with a multi-disciplinary team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Effective transportation and the ability to move between any schools across GECDSB
  • Demonstrate a commitment to and documented success in working to create a fair, inclusive, antiracist environment for all stakeholders, and to supporting diverse constituencies and populations
