Purpose:
We are currently recruiting for a Project Scheduler. Our team includes world class experts and dynamic go-getters. This is a full-time position based in Sudbury, Ontario.

This pivotal role involves leveraging advanced scheduling methodologies to ensure the successful execution of projects. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive project schedules that reflect the strategic goals of the organization. Responsible for independently applying advanced scheduling and planning techniques and analysis within a project environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform all aspects of planning/scheduling.
  • Monitor job progress according to schedules.
  • Coordinate with material expediters concerning critical items of supply.
  • Participation in expenditure forecasts.
  • Perform schedule analysis.
  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules using industry-standard scheduling software, ensuring alignment with project milestones and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and timelines, ensuring all aspects of project planning are covered.
  • Utilize critical path method (CPM) analysis to identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders on schedule adherence and potential delays.
  • Facilitate scheduling meetings, drive discussions on schedule changes, and ensure effective communication among all project participants.
  • Prepare and present schedule reports, including variance analysis and forecasts, to senior management and project teams.
  • Lead efforts to refine scheduling processes and best practices within the project management framework at Worley.

What you will bring:
Technical and Industry Experience:

  • Extensive experience in project scheduling in an engineering environment with Mining, Minerals and Metals project experience preferred.
  • Proven expertise in using scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on proactive risk management.
  • Experience in large-scale or multi-project scheduling across diverse teams.
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Required:

  • Degree in Bachelors.
  • Experienced working in a engineering consulting and Mining, Minerals and Metals project experience preferred.
  • Professional certification in project management (PMP, PMI-SP, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • Must be able to work in the Sudbury office.
