The Opportunity
Reporting to the Program Manager, this is an entry level position typically for people getting back into the workforce. Front Desk Workers are responsible for taking care of the safety and security of the building, answering tenant questions, answering the phone and responding to questions/ taking messages from callers, managing guests in accordance with guest policy, responding to drug poisoning and administering naloxone, doing hourly floor checks and supporting co-workers with health and wellness checks; recording and reporting building damage according to policy; and other related duties as may be assigned by program manager and or the Director responsible for the building.

You are familiar with colonialism especially as it applies in Canada, and you understand the impact of the residential school system. You Also Have
- Proven initiative, judgement, decision-making and problem-saving capabilities.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain rapport with tenants, your co-workers, and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and carry out work with independence.
- Physical ability to perform the duties and carry out heavy cleaning duties
- A thorough knowledge of community issues is required.
- Valid First Aid is required.
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certificate is an asset.
- All positions are subject to a criminal records review
