We are seeking an Electrical Estimator to join the team in Vaughan, ON. The role of the Estimator is to prepare accurate tender prices from the architect’s or engineer’s drawings, specifications and addenda or from quantity of items supplied by the client. The estimator will be responsible for all preparations and records, maintain pricing, and assist the management team in the ongoing pursuit and acquisition of new work.

We are seeking an Electrical Estimator to join the team in Vaughan, ON. The estimator will be responsible for all preparations and records, maintain pricing, and assist the management team in the ongoing pursuit and acquisition of new work.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Performing quantity takeoffs including entry into the computer estimating
- Reviewing all Bid Documents to ensure all bid requirements are
- Assemble all elements of an estimate including a lead sheet to summarize all the
- Preparing bid forms and submissions for a tender call or
- Calculate a final figure for the estimated cost
- Present bid package with tender price for clients following their
- Understanding the labor variances between project types and apply appropriate correction
- Identify risk factors and collaborates with executives to determine appropriate contingencies
- Provides detailed labor breakdowns for each area to assist with budget creation and management of project.
- Applies technical experience to interpret documentation, specifications, and design
- Assists in the development of estimating plan to establish estimate/proposal
- Participates in presentation of estimates/proposals to senior team
- Attend and participate in site-visits, pre-bid meeting and post-bid meeting as
- Works diligently daily to achieving the group sales targets for the year
- Assist/participate in assembling bid proposals
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Electrical estimating
- Post-secondary diploma in electrical or construction technology, or other relevant technology field (CET or ENG considered an asset but not required) OR;
- Experience in an electrical contracting trade OR; Industry certification including “Certified Quantity Surveyor” and/or “Certified Construction Estimator”
- Experience with Trimble Accubid Anywhere, Livecount, Bluebeam
- Excellent verbal and written communication, time management and multi-tasking to prioritize workload and stay on top of things as project demands increase
- Self-motivated with strong willingness and ability to learn and be challenged
- Works effectively in team environment
