The Isle Maligne Power Plant Modernization Project is seeking a Quality Assurance Representative.
Location: This position requires full-time on-site presence at the Alma construction site.
Your Role
- Understand the project quality plan and implement, monitor, and provide improvements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Plan and monitor quality assurance activities according to client requirements, project specifications, and procedures.
- Review contractors' quality plans.
- Monitor contractors' performance against their quality plans and project specifications.
- Track, verify, and validate activity compliance with contractors' Inspection and Test Plans (ITP).
- Initiate, monitor, review, and validate the content of Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and Corrective Action Reports (CAR) until closure.
- Verify and validate corrections requested in NCRs.
- Provide necessary support (technical, procedures, work methods, etc.) to the engineering team and site supervisors.
- Perform or coordinate internal audits of AtkinsRéalis processes and those of contractors.
- Review quality documents provided by contractors, manufacturers, and installers of GTA equipment.
- Prepare quality assurance reports and assist in providing information for monthly quality reports.
- Collaborate with various project stakeholders on quality-related issues.
- Make recommendations regarding quality assurance at the request of the site supervising engineer.
- Coordinate quality control of materials and their implementation related to assembly, disassembly, positioning, and installation of GTA machine components.
- Monitor quality assurance for material traceability, dimensional reports, and installation of GTA machine components.
- Verify compliance of critical repairs.
- Prepare daily quality assurance reports.
- Holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Has 5 to 10 years of experience in construction or manufacturing.
- Possesses good knowledge of GTA machine components.
- Is familiar with hydroelectric assemblies.
- Is familiar with ISO 9001 standards and has a solid understanding of quality assurance management principles.
- Able to work on a multidisciplinary project and interact with various project stakeholders.
- Has strong communication skills.
- Proficient in French (written and spoken).
