About The Role
We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our National Large Loss Claims team as a Bilingual Business Analyst to collaborate in the analysis and delivery of projects, co-ordinate risk and compliance functions, and support various communication forums. This role is a key player in a small team that is highly visible because it supports a wider group, requiring strategic planning and execution. It has a broad scope of responsibility, often requiring you to make decisions and manage multiple moving parts of a project or event.

About The Role

What You’ll Do Here
- Analyze information obtained from various sources, detail the high-level view and provide users with recommendations. This is applicable to project work and recurring data analysis supporting operations.
- Coordinate various risk and compliance activities for the group, including support to colleagues executing those activities.
- Utilise your analytical skills to identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, cost reduction, or risk mitigation.
- Plan and co-ordinate project activities related to organizational requirements or changes.
- Obtain requirements from business communities using techniques such as interview and work sessions.
- Act as an intermediary between immediate team and colleagues in neighbouring teams to support in the delivery of initiatives and events.
- Document requirements obtained from colleagues using defined templates.
- Administer and manage group SharePoint site, including organizing historical and legacy policy data to ensure claims handling efficiency.
- Ensure the smooth running and optimization of various internal meetings and committees.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or any equivalent combination of education and experience (No previous experience in a BA role required)
- Prior experience working within large loss claims considered an asset
- Experience in business process review considered an asset
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (PowerBI or other data dashboard applications considered an asset)
- Demonstrated analytical skills facilitating problem solving, time and priority management
- Must have demonstrated initiative and autonomy while working in a collaborative environment
- Strong communication skills including both verbal and written
- Bilingualism in French and English is required as you will need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country
- No Canadian work experience required but must have authorization to work in Canada.
