Director of Supply Chain at Earls Head Office

Earls Kitchen + Bar is looking for a Director of Supply Chain to join our Procurement + Supply Chain team in Vancouver, BC. In this role, you’ll oversee our supply chain for all food, Liquor, Wine, Beer, Disposables, and Smallwares across Canada and the US, manage distribution performance, and new market set-ups. You’ll build strong distributor and vendor relationships, drive innovation in menu and program rollouts, and play a critical role in ensuring seamless, efficient product delivery to every Earls location.

Role Responsibilities
- Innovate and execute end-to-end supply chain strategy aligned with company goals (cost, service, sustainability).
- Identify process improvement and digital transformation opportunities (e.g., forecasting systems, demand planning).
- Manage risk and resilience, ensuring business continuity through disruptions (weather, supplier disruptions, strikes, etc.).
- Lead performance management of all distributors across North America through scorecards, KPI’s, and regular business reviews to minimize delivery issues, reduce shortages, and ensure consistent execution across all restaurants.
- Innovate and optimize the rollout process for menu and program changes by leveraging technology and distributor capabilities to accelerate time from concept to restaurant execution while reducing waste and complexity.
- Oversee supply chain planning for new market openings, managing critical milestones, and resolving issues proactively to ensure smooth and timely launches.
- Build, engage, and develop a high-performing Supply Chain team through strategic collaboration with fellow Directors, alignment of priorities, talent mentorship, and a culture rooted in accountability and continuous improvement.
- Pursue the best interests of the company through strong financial performance and proactive risk management, balancing cost optimization, reliability, and long-term sustainability.
- Collaborate closely with Culinary Development, Procurement, Operations, and Marketing to align supply chain strategies with business goals and ensure seamless execution of initiatives across all functions.
- Continuously evaluate systems, tools, and workflows to identify opportunities for greater efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across the supply chain network.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressive experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Logistics roles, ideally in the restaurant, hospitality, or food & beverage sectors.
- 3+ years of people leadership experience, including at least 1 year at the Director level, leading strategy and cross-functional initiatives.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, or a related field is an asset.
- Proven experience managing distributor relationships, supply chain operations, and vendor performance across multiple regions or markets.
- Demonstrated success leading teams and driving results through collaboration, data, and strategic thinking.
- Proven experience navigating supply chain risk, managing disruptions, and building resilient, efficient systems.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Advanced knowledge of food safety, vendor risk, perishables, and distribution logistics.
- Proven ability to manage costs and lead supplier/distributor relationships by influencing outcomes, driving accountability, and ensuring operational excellence.
- Passionate about coaching and developing talent at all levels, fostering growth and engagement within the team.
- Skilled collaborator with the ability to influence cross-functionally across diverse teams and departments.
- Willingness and availability to travel across North America.
