The Support and Development Center provide services to Agnico Eagle's various Canadian and / or international mining operations in a variety of areas, including administration, financial services, IT, supply chain, human resources, communications, construction as well as technical services (geology, engineering, metallurgy, infrastructure, marketing, innovation, and digital transformation).
YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
Reporting to the R&D Metallurgy Advisor, you will primarily be involved in processing data from the development of various projects, including images, physical measurements, and performance indicators. You will support project managers and specialists in analyzing this data by extracting additional information, illustrating trends, and modeling for performance prediction. You will contribute to the development and implementation of processes and measures to improve and optimize the mining value chain, working closely with the digital transformation team. Furthermore, you will provide support to various Agnico Eagle divisions. You will have the opportunity to develop your expertise within an experienced innovation team and multidisciplinary project teams (geology, mining, infrastructure, environment, digital transformation)

Develop and apply AI- Optimize and implement artificial intelligence and machine learning models

Design infrastructure and manage data
- Identify hardware and software requirements for data processing

Implement data pipelines in collaboration with the digital transformation team

Plan and track projects
- Develop project plans, write progress reports and summaries
- Collaborate with application and technical service specialists to identify opportunities

Support research and funding
- Participate in drafting funding applications for AI projects
- Conduct technology monitoring and literature reviews

Represent and contribute to corporate strategy
- Represent the organization at conferences and working groups
- Develop value-creating AI solutions
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Master's or PhD degree in mining, metallurgical, or geoscience engineering
- Specialization in data science and artificial intelligence
- 1 to 5 years of experience in developing, training, and optimizing machine learning models
- Application to mining and metallurgical data
- Proven experience in writing grant and funding proposals
- Strong coordination skills to deliver multi-partner research projects on time
- Advanced programming, AI libraries, and data analysis
- Skills in data storage and organization, and AI modeling
- Understanding of business challenges to align AI solutions with organizational objectives
- Fluency in French and English is essential for collaborating with Agnico Eagle's international sites
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. A 5-2-4-3 schedule is possible
- Work location: You can work in one of AEM's offices closer to your home, located in Rouyn-Noranda, Preissac, Val-d'Or, Mirabel, or Toronto. A hybrid work schedule is also possible, allowing you to work some days from an AEM office and some days remotely
- Available to travel to Canada, Finland, Australia, and Mexico
