We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Graduate Teaching Assistants (GTA) to facilitate delivery for multiple courses. The GTA will work closely with the instructor to coordinate and manage logistics, ensure a smooth program flow, and provide general support to program participants.

- JSGS 802| Public Finance|The assigned tasks would be: assist in preparing instructional material for each class; assist in marking assignments and tests. Ideally, completion of JSGS 805 or JSGS 802 in the past or has a strong understanding of public finance concepts, including government revenues, expenditures, fiscal federalism, and taxation. Ability to interpret and explain Canadian public finance frameworks to support student learning (e.g., revenue instruments, budget processes)| Sessional Instructors (2 positions available)
- JSGS 808|Ethical Leadership and Democracy in Public Service |The assigned tasks would be: assist in preparing instructional material for each class; carry out tutoring sessions to students before assignments and tests; assist in marking assignments and tests. Required skills include: Strong analytical and academic writing skills, with the ability to interpret and explain ethical and leadership concepts. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support class discussions and student inquiries.| Sessional Instructors (2 positions available)
- JSGS 806| Public Policy Analysis | The assigned tasks would be: assist in preparing instructional material for each class; carry out tutoring sessions to students before assignments and tests; and support the weekly classes by assistng with discussions and applied policy exercises. Ideally, completion of JSGS 806 in the past or has knowledge of the course content including public policy processes, policy analysis methods and communication tools used in the Canadian public sector. |Dr. Kathy McNutt
- JSGS 8XX| Environmental Policy |The student must be able to provide support to develop a new JSGS course focuses on Environmental Policy. Skills required would include Strong understanding of environmental policy issues, including climate change mitigation and adaptation, the cost of pollution, and Canadian and international policy approaches. Ability to research, synthesize, and clearly communicate complex environmental and policy concepts for use in online lectures and learning activities. Strong written and visual communication skills to support the creation of online instructional content.| Dr. Margot Hurlbert
- JSGS 892| MPA Capstone Class|The student must be able to provide support to the class during excursions and for the final presentations. Technical experience running the classroom software (zoom, etc) and setting up class communication between students and outside organizations would be an asset.|Dr. Kathy McNutt
- JSGS 856| Health Information Privacy Policy | The assigned tasks would be: assist in preparing instructional material for each class; assist in marking assignments and tests. Ideally, completion of JSGS 856 in the past or has knowledge of the health-related course content including legislation, regulation and standards for access and use of health information.|Dr. Sophia Myles
- JSGS 8XX| Content Developer | We are seeking a student to interview current students and alumni; To create short, engaging social media posts that highlight their experiences. Responsibilities include conducting brief interviews, drafting accurate and compelling stories, and collaborating with staff to ensure content aligns with our brand and communication goals. Strong writing skills, professionalism, and the ability to meet deadlines are essential.| Academic Advisors
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Zoom
- Prior experience in event planning, logistics coordination, project management, and hybrid event delivery are strongly preferred
