Under the supervision of the Financial Controller, the Accounting Technician will support the team in all tasks related to accounting operations.
They will assist with certain responsibilities while also managing their own projects and analyses.
ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A ROLE THAT WILL ALLOW YOU TO:
- Perform month-end and year-end activities, including account reconciliation and journal entries for Canadian and U.S. entities
- Handle various tasks related to cash management, prepaid expenses, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
- Prepare Canadian and international sales tax reports
- Support accounts receivable and payable clerks when needed
- Contribute to year-end audit files
- Prepare banking transactions
- Maintain bookkeeping for a management company
- Produce various month-end reports for government authorities
- Carry out any other related tasks
ARE YOU SOMEONE WHO:
- Holds a DEP or DEC in Accounting
- Is familiar with SAP (an asset)
- Understands ERP environments and is proficient with Excel spreadsheets
- Communicates fluently in both French and English, orally and in writing
- Is versatile and eager to learn
- Demonstrates strong ethics, integrity, sound judgment, and impeccable discretion
- Is known for being a team player
