The primary role of the Community Programs Supervisor is to support the community programs team in delivering day-to-day client and community services. This role provides leadership to the team including scheduling, staff orientation/training, case consultation, and case load management. This role also provides back-up front-line support as needed.

Duties And Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Supervisory
- Support all frontline staff with training, ongoing communication, debriefing and decision-making.
- Support the team to engage in community development and community program delivery as well as case management.
- In the absence of the Residential Programs Supervisor, provide back-up support to that team.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive workplace environment at YWCA Banff.
- Set and manage Advocacy and Outreach Counsellors schedules (time off requests, timesheets, and daily schedule), may include after hours on-call schedule.
- Work collaboratively with YWCA Banff teams to drive the overall success of the organization.
- Develop and maintain working relationships with community agencies and professionals in the Bow Valley.
- Review and recommend to the Manager of Programs improvements to agency policies and procedures to support and optimize outcomes.
- Work closely with the Supervisor of Residential Programs to review and update necessary forms, workflow, and staff training documents as needed.
- Participate in YWCA Banff Programs and Services team working groups, as requested.
- Regularly review documentation/data entry to ensure accuracy and consistency of data collection.
- Adhere to department guidelines, policies, and procedures as well as strict privacy and confidentiality agreements.
- Support Programs Manager with training, performance and on-going development of team.
- Support Programs Manager with evaluation, and reporting.
- Attend Manager’s meetings, as requested
- Other duties as identified by Programs Manager
- Act as Programs Manager, as requested
- Provide emotional support, referrals, and systems navigation for Bow Valley residents who have experienced domestic/sexual violence and/or precarious housing/homelessness or accessing Affordable Housing.
- Support client crisis and answer the crisis line, as required
- Stay knowledgeable and informed of all relevant resources within or outside the Bow Valley
- Complete necessary documentation and data collection for Residential Programs
- Participate in on-call, when required

- Provide services based on an understanding of the gendered nature of domestic and sexual violence
- Deliver services within a feminist and/or anti-oppressive framework and a survivor-centered, trauma-informed approach

- Demonstrate self-reflection and an openness to learning, development and growth
- Treat everyone with respect and with a focus on choice and empowerment
- Actively seek out and engage in professional development to maintain best practice and optimize client outcomes
