THE ROLE

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a MAINTENANCE TECH for a small manufacturing company located in HAMILTON's east end.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on machinery, the building and the equipment
• Using a Lathe to make parts
• Perform welding, grinding, machining, and fabrication as required.
• Determine necessary changes, adjustments, and modifications to obtain desired results from machinery, using OEM specifications, blueprints, sketches, and manuals.
• Ensure plant and equipment is in good order by regular inspection and site audit.
• Working collaboratively with the production team to resolve machine issues.
• Welding MIG and TIG
• Investigate cost effective solutions to plant and machine problems.
  
  

Requirements

• 5 years of maintenance experience working on machinery
• Practical knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment, materials, tooling, presses, boilers, controls etc
• Experience with overall building maintenance
• Experience with boilers is nice to have
• Trades accreditation is an asset, or equivalent work experience.
• Drivers License needed
