Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Sheet Metal Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations within our HVAC production plant. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with strong leadership skills to oversee fabrication teams, maintain high production standards, and ensure safety and efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, HVAC systems, and a proven track record in manufacturing supervision.

Schedule: 44 hours per week, Morning Shift: Monday - Thursday, 6am - 3:30pm; Friday, 6am - 2:30pm

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of sheet metal workers in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Plan, organize, and coordinate daily production activities to meet project deadlines
• Train, mentor, and evaluate staff, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards
• Operate and oversee equipment including press brake, shear, laser table, cut-to-length line, notcher, and forklifts
• Fabricate and assemble sheet metal components according to blueprints and specifications
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement process improvements
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards
Maintain accurate records of production output, materials, and maintenance activities

Qualifications

• Journeyman Sheet Metal certification required
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience
• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in HVAC fabrication and installation
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Experience with press brake, shear, laser table, and other metal fabrication equipment
• Forklift experience and certification an asset
• Superior leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to manage workflow, maintain structure, and meet deadlines under pressure
High attention to detail, good judgment, and ability to react quickly to production needs

Work Conditions

• Standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 lbs regularly
• Fast-paced environment requiring manual dexterity, repetitive tasks, and extended periods of standing
Handling heavy loads and working under pressure
